Half Term

This is a late post about the first half term

Half term is here. For the juniors this will be their first half term but will be 4th for the seniors. The special thing about half term is that all Bruneian sixth form students from different school will make their way to London Paddington to stay in Brunei Hall.

Badminton School

The four Bruneian girls at Badminton School would like to clarify a common misconception. Badminton School is not named after the sport, however awesome that sport is. Badminton School is named after Badminton House. Badminton House could have been named after the sport but who’s to say? Yes, we do, however, play badminton at Badminton.

Badminton School is an independent all-girls boarding and day school in Bristol. The school is situated in a quiet area of Bristol, right next to an old people’s home. Sometimes people mistake our school for the old people’s home. Which is a bit sad, but that’s neither here nor there.

The Cheltenham Ladies College

Assalamualaikum! Greetings from *another* LADIES COLLEGE

I see HLC had made an introduction for us, yup, we are from......

The Cheltenham Ladies’ College
Currently, there are 4 of us here, 2 of which had just joined me (Isyrah) and Ziqah this year, our (clingy) junnies Ainuna and Dalia!

Boarding In Harrogate Ladies' College

Continuation..

Tell me how is it like to board in HLC?

So, last year we stayed in Clarence house. In our opinion, it is the best house out of all 4. It can fit about 30 boarders and the house provide us with everything that we need ( except water hose in the toilet but what do you expect? ). Now we live in Tower house. Well actually there are 5 houses in total.

You told me there were only 4!

Back in UK!

Assalamualaikum and Hi,

The title might only be applicable to the seniors. Hahaha. To the new members of BruALs, WELCOME TO UNITED KINGDOM!!! :D Alhamdulillah, 11 new Bruneian students have just arrived in UK and I can see that they are very, very excited! New environment, new people. Might be challenging at first but soon they will all become adventures that will never be forgotten.

Looking at the juniors reminds me of the very first day I arrived in UK. Buying the Oyster Card, a new SIM card, taking photos everywhere we go and getting all excited over my new experience on the Double Decker bus and the tube. Gahhhhhhh. It was soooooo fun. To the juniors, there are more to come, okay. You're gonna face a whole lot of new experience here, be it in London or at your school.

Counting days

For the lower six students of BruAls, we are experiencing our first summer holiday and for me, it is an awesome holiday and I have so much fun. 2 months of no-school-but-still-have-personal-statement-to-do period. Who dares to be against this treat?

AS RESULTS ARE OUT!

We were told ahead that on the 15th of August 2013, the results will be out. For Harrogate Ladies College (my shcool), the results were out at 4 pm Brunei time (9 am UK). I wish I could just sleep the whole day so that the day will be much faster because I was too nervous.

So were all the students of Lower and Upper six who took AS & A2 exams on May and June this year. Our WhatsApp group text were so active that day. Some of us receive results as early as midday. That made the rest of us nervous.

The days left……

Tik tok tik tok.
It's already 1st Syawal. I remembered my 1st Syawal last year. How sad I was thinking that I only had a short time of raya that year before going off to UK. How nervous I was counting the days till I left my family, my friends, my home, everything.
But I must admit. It was one good raya last year. Being the 'centre of attention'. Wahahaha.
'Yang mana kan ke UK ani eh? Yang ani kah?' 'Ehe ehe. Awu. Ehe ehe. *malu malu*' Hahaha.
'Nah lai. *unjuk $$$* Kau kan belayar kan? Belajar bisai bisai lai ah' XD
